Seeing the need for a structured process to invite community members into the curatorial process, I recruited a committee of volunteers and colleagues to help craft an open call for exhibits. Through this call, we developed a structure to welcome people into the curatorial process. We accepted and reviewed over a dozen proposals and I supported community curators through all stages of the exhibition process. The documents (below) demonstrate my practical, transparent strategy for supporting and mentoring community knowledge holders and ensuring their visions are honored.
